I am happy to announce that both of our premium themes (Nutmeg Plus & Podcast Plus) now come with a one-click theme update feature.
Now you don’t have to worry about missing some crucial theme update, be it a minor bug fix or a crucial security fix.
How to Enable One-Click Theme Updates
In order for this process to work, we had to implement update license keys. Now every time you purchase one of our products, you will receive a license key.
After you install and activate our product, you can enter your license key on the theme’s info page.
After you save the license key (and it is valid), a button called “Activate License” will appear on that page.
Press the button to activate your license.
If all went well and your license is valid (correct and not expired), then the status should change to Valid.
Once you see the Valid status, you will see future theme updates directly in your Dashboard.
Theme Updates vs Theme Customization
If you made any changes to the theme’s files, then automatic updates will overwrite these changes.
During an automatic theme update, first the old theme files are deleted and only then the new version is installed in its place. So if you have any custom files in the theme’s folder, they will also be deleted.
Your existing content will not be affected.
